Item Levels

Items range in level from 1 (lesser quality) to 6 (highest quality). The higher the quality the item, the slower it degrades, however, it will be more expensive to repair when it does degrade. Both shoes and saddles will have a designated item level. Currently only Level 1 and 2 items are available from the shop. Level 2 items will only appear rarely in the shop.

The Levels are as follows:

Level 1: Regular
Level 2: Great (Blue background)
Level 3: Superior
Level 4: Exquisite
Level 5: Grand
Level 6: Pristine

Items do not reduce in effectiveness when their condition deteriorates. Only when they are 0% or broken are they considered to be ineffective.

Pristine items do not need repairing.

Items Level 1 and 2 items can be purchased from the shop, although Level 2 items will only appear rarely.

Items Level 3 and above can only be obtained by searching golden haystacks.  Haystacks are obtained by collecting 100 golden hay.

Golden hay can be earned by;

• finishing in the Top 25% of teams for Team Racing
• winning Cup races in Evo countries
• winning special races (e.g. The Xmas race)
• winning player tournaments that award Golden Hay to winners.

Earning Racer Achievements increases your chance of finding a higher level item in Golden Haystacks.
