Where can I get saddles?

Saddles will rotate in the shop on a daily basis (every 24 hours). Level 2 (Great) saddles will only appear occasionally (maybe only a couple of times a year!) so be sure to stock up when you see them. Saddles can only be bought and equipped by VIPs.
Saddles can also be obtained from Golden Haystacks by Hardcore players. The saddles obtained from Golden Haystacks will be either Great or Superior level items. Golden Haystacks can be obtained by collecting 100 Golden Hay by placing in the top 25% in Weekly Team Racing or by winning Cup races in Evo countries.

Saddle Effects
Training
Each horse has a ‘trainability’ factor in its DNA which differs from horse to horse. Trainability is the factor which contributes to a better result (i.e. greater strength or endurance increase) when your horse is trained. Saddles can increase a horse’s trainability and other stats.
This means your horse will improve its strength or endurance more quickly each time you train them with a saddle equipped.
Improved stats
The Flame, Ice and 8 Bit saddles improves existing strength and/or endurance stats when equipped. Higher level saddles will provide a greater advantage as the level increases.
However, keep in mind, the higher level Flame and Ice saddles, although providing an larger bonus increase for one stat, will provide a larger decrease for the opposite stat.
So for example, a level 2 Flame saddle will provide a strength bonus of +3 x 40% = +4.2 stars strength and a negative effect of -1 x 20% = -1.2 stars endurance.
Saddle Types
Training
- Vertical/Horizontal stripe saddles + training boost
- Diamond/Checkered/Polkadot saddles ++ training boost
- Heart/Star saddles +++ training boost
- Hourglass saddle – training boost for 20+ day old horses

This increase will happen up to a maximum of 5 times. The increase granted is equivalent to training increases. See table below for more information.
Racing
- Flame saddle – improves strength, reduces endurance
- Ice saddle – improves endurance, reduces strength
- 8 bit saddle – performance boost on race numbers 8,16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512
- Victory saddle – strength and performance boost for Group 1 horses
- Hardcore saddle – 10% prize money bonus
- Riches saddle – Evo only, prize money boost that works for Hofcoin also
- Poor Form saddle – if your horse has less than 10% wins after 10 races your horse receives a +1.33 star boost to strength and endurance whilst the saddle is equipped. Higher level saddles further increase this boost by a percentage.
Repairs
Equipment also breaks down over time and must be repaired and re-equipped.
Higher level saddles cost more to repair.
Fully broken saddles cost twice as much to repair, so it is wise (particularly with higher level items) to repair them regularly or at least before they are fully broken.
Repair state does not affect the performance of the saddle.
The higher the item level, the longer it takes to break down, so therefore it doesn’t need to be re-equipped as frequently. The exception to this rule is “Pristine” items, as these will not break down and do not need to be repaired.
