Stud Farm: Find the Perfect Stallion

The Stud Farm is where players can find a suitable stallion to breed with their mare and hopefully produce stronger offspring. Stallions are listed by players for a stud fee within a set price range. You can filter the Stud Farm to view your own stallions or browse other players’ horses sorted by age, price range, prize money, DNA or grouping.

Breeding with the right stallion is one of the most effective ways to improve your stable in this online horse racing game.

Choosing a good stallion

If you are unsure whether a stallion is good breeding stock, check how many races it has run and how many wins, places or shows it has. These stats are usually a reliable indicator of strong genetics and good breeding potential.

How long stallions stay in the Stud Farm

A stallion can remain in the Stud Farm for up to 12 hours without being selected. After that time, it automatically returns to its stable.

How to put your stallion up for stud

  1. Go to Stables

  2. Select a stallion

  3. Open the More tab

  4. Choose Stud or Private Stud (VIP only)

Your stallion must be at least 2 days old before it can be listed. You can return your horse at any time unless it has already been selected for breeding.

How to know if someone used your stallion

If another player breeds with your stallion:

  • You will receive the stud fee automatically

  • Your stallion returns to your stable 30 minutes after being used

  • Your Recent Activity will show an entry confirming the breeding

  • Clicking the mare’s name will show which player bred with your stallion

Private studding (VIP Only)

VIP players can choose to stud their stallions privately.

  • Stud = public listing visible to all players

  • Private Stud = visible only to your Facebook friends when they select the Private Studs filter

DNA

Using a DNA certificate makes your stallion more appealing because players can see its stats before selecting it. You can filter the Stud Farm to show only DNA‑tested horses.

DNA certificates can be purchased by VIP players from the Science Lab.

Stud farm filters

You can refine your search using three filters and two radio buttons.

Filter options

  • Filter 1: Your own horses, price range or private studs

  • Filter 2: Horse grouping

  • Filter 3: Age, prize money or stud price

Radio buttons

  • Show DNA Tested Only – Displays only horses with DNA certificates

  • Show Evo Horses Only – Displays only Pedigree 31+ horses that require HOFcoins

After selecting your filters, click OK to display matching stallions in the left window. Select a horse to view more details.

  • More Info shows the full horse profile

  • Accept prompts you to choose a mare from your stable

Once bred, your mare and new foal return to your stable in 48 hours
