When you equip a DNA test to your horse, it means that your horse’s ‘hidden stats’ such as track preferences, ‘birth stars’ and current strength and endurance stars will become visible to other players (including both VIP and non VIP players).
These ‘hidden stats’ for the horse with a DNA test equipped will now show to other players in 3 places;
- in your stable when visited by another player
- in the stud farm
- in the horse market
There is a filter in the stud farm that will only show horses that have a DNA test to prospective buyers. Therefore, equipping a DNA test can increase the chances that another player will stud with your horse (if your horse has good stats).
Similarly, the horse market also shows which horses have DNA test and again, this can increase the likelihood of your horse being bought by another player.
If another VIP player buys the horse, the DNA test will remain. But if a non-VIP player buys the horse, the test will be removed and the ‘hidden stats’ will no longer be visible to either VIP or non VIP players.
DNA tests can be purchased by VIP’s via the Science Lab. The cost to purchase varies depending on the pedigree of the horse.
